You should only see most of them closed if you are running a test session and only a few cars are present. But I'll check and make sure. |

Recently I started to run seasons that use Mexico City circuit, but found out that the section before the final corner (Curva Peraltada) does not have the correct 1986-1992 layout.
The green part (see attachment) physically exist in the track (Tantra's Mexico, available at wookey's) but is blocked, even tho you can drive thru that part, but you get "cutting the track" message, and the AI turns right instead. thfdp, could you produce an AIW which would sort this out and make the correct layout available? If you need it, I'll upload the track for you.

Same thing with Barcelona 1991-1994.
In those years ('91-'93) there was another corner called Nissan, between Campsa and La Caixa. That part of circuit is there, but is blocked with cones. Can that be fixed and AI made to go that way? In Megaupdate there's a good version of the track for '94 season, but with additional temporary tyre-chicane at that corner, which was there only for '94. Would it be easier to remove that tyre-chicane, or change the AIW to make a correct '91-'93 version?

Singapore, Valencia Street, Dallas
Been away from F1C for awhile and been missing CSGT and the 917s.
Itchin' to try some of the new tracks and of course needed to rework some grids for 36 cars. Apologize if these files already exist for 2008_Singapore, Valencia Street or Dallas. Nice work on these tracks. Also did some extra work for Dallas besides 36 cars and overlapping cars in pits, noticing it didn't have a cam. All that beautiful work 'senna' and no cam?(or maybe I missed it?) Glad to help on grid and cam work for Phoenix if you need it. Rar-file also includes a track icon and cinema file. For you SCC'ers there are also Thmb files included for these tracks. |

CAM files
Hm, thunderball, if you are CAM expert, can you tell some tips with camera switching? Because, there are cases, when I even did not change camera postions, just deleted one camera, and pasted its activation location`s coords + activation radius to the next camera, and suddenly in another part of track some camera activates in unappropriate moment...
And I think in one case it happened when I just changed camera FOV, nothing more... |

GM777, I'm no expert, but AFAIK this overlapping activation happens because:
- either the cams are too close to each other despite being on opposite sides of that area of the circuit - or the cams are too far apart on the same section of the circuit: Best thing is to map cam locations using the F1C AIW Editor by RaceGT, but be careful with this. First get your bearings straight because sometimes the positive/negative of an AIW waypoint in the viewer is the opposite in the cam file. Then you have to make adjustments from there. Sometimes the activation radius of the competing cams in the cam file needs adjusting. Or you may just need to add another cam near that section of track where the other cam from "another part of the track" is turning on. More difficult is adjusting the location of a cam so that it "blocks" that farther cam from turning on. Hmm, in searching for the old AIW Editor thread...https://forum.racesimcentral.com/show...=141486&page=7 ...I stumbled upon a new update by RaceGT for rFactor. Thanks for that, thfdp, and also for the continued excellent AIW work. I'll have to check out this updated version. https://forum.racesimcentral.com/show...=288118&page=9 The editor will not map the cam locations for you but the AIW waypoints will give you good reference points. Good luck GM777. |

Mexico
But there is mexico with all that "parabolica"type of turn in 1989 mod demo...
But yes, AIW files are very time consuming, i thought about Long Beach 1999 layout, I could change MTS files, graphics, but thinking about AIW (even when no pits had not be changed) cooled me down a bit. |

Yes, there was such a demo released half a year ago, but mod itself stalled... Two tracks were included and 4 teams (Brabham and Dallara among them). It was on racesimulations...

And one among those 2 tracks was the correct Mexico layout?
Thx, I'll try to look it up!
